Welcome to Week 5.
This week doesn't ask you to add anything — no new habit, no new morning routine, no new commitment. It asks you to look honestly at the week you're actually living right now, and find what has to be removed for the person in your Week 4 identity statements to have room to exist.
The hypothesis: you don't have a discipline problem. You have a room problem. Nothing new fits until something old leaves.
What to do:
Map each day of your last week separately — morning, afternoon, evening — and mark which self each block really serves: Hoped, Expected, or Feared. Don't average across the week. Some days already lean toward the person you want to become, and some quietly reinforce the one you're afraid of, and that difference is the whole point.
Once the grid is filled, find your closest-to-Hoped day and your closest-to-Feared day. Then build a Conscious No List: for each identity statement, name one specific thing that needs to go, and where in your week it currently lives.
Close by picking one item and actually removing it — this week, not eventually.
Post here when:
- 🟢 Early in the week — Share your closest-to-Hoped day and your closest-to-Feared day, side by side. What's structurally different between them?
- 🟡 Mid-week — Share one item from your No List — what's going, where it currently lives in your week, and what it's making room for.
- 🔵 End of week — Report back on your one removal. Did it happen? What actually got in the way, if anything?
A ground rule for this thread:
The end-of-week post isn't optional the way earlier reflections were. If the removal didn't happen, post that too — what got in the way is often more useful data for the group than a clean success would be.
Go clear the room. ✂️
